On Friday, July 29, 2016, BWSSCWoW Seniors Giving Back to Community performed International Folk Dances to welcome
and congratulate 100 New Americans and Families at the 8th annual Naturalization Ceremony initiated by the Fairfax County Asian American History Project.  Fairfax County Chairman Sharon Bulova presented a Proclamation congratulating the BWSSCWoW Seniors Giving Back to Community.

 Performance by International Folk Dance Team (Oh Susanna) to accompany Foley Testimony to the Board of Supervisors on the need for: 1) addition to the 2016 bond referendum of the full-fledged Springfield Community/Senior Center that has been in the approved CIP list for over five years because of Foley 2007 petition for Senior Center in South Run Park -- or inclusion in the next earliest bond referendum (FY2020);  2) non-recurring budget to pay churches $34 per hour similar to payment to Fairfax County public schools for use by BWSSCWoW senior health/fitness programs;  3) as interim measure awaiting implementation of bond referendum, a storefront lease for Springfield Community Senior Center, similar to Lorton and Kingstown Senior Centers.

Memory Cafe for Alzheimer's Patients and Caregivers.  Contact Person Carol Blackwell.
A Memory Cafe is a place for those with Alzheimer's and their caregivers to have some time to find resources, relax, laugh with each other, etc.   The members of our group love to hear music.  Average attendance of between 20 and 30 members.  We meet first and third Thursdays of each month from 2-4PM at Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church in Vienna, VA.  My number is (571) 236-6933 and website is memorycafe4u.com.

Thank you for signing up to testify at the public hearing on Fiscal Year 2017 Proposed Budget, scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 7, 2016. You are registered as Speaker #10 and will have 5 minutes to testify.  The hearing will take place in the Board Auditorium of the Government Center at 12000 Government Center Parkway in Fairfax. 

In an effort to help preserve our trees, we ask that you send us, via email, a copy of your written testimony, if you would like for the Board of Supervisors to receive a copy, and we will distribute it to them electronically.
